Related SDGs:

My 2050 is a user-friendly online simulation game, which allows you to try your hand at meeting tough carbon emission reduction targets for the UK while finding enough energy to power the economy until 2050. You have to choose between different technologies and policy options, from increasing solar power and reducing the use of coal, to asking the citizens to simply turn down the central heating in order to lead the UK to a sustainable future. In the end you can compare your own My2050 roadmap to the ones created by all of the other players.

Gameplay

Manipulate 14 different levels, each representing a different choice on the demand or the supply side in order to reduce carbon emissions to the 2050 target. The Simulation visualises how the world will look in 2050, according to the levels chosen for each lever.

Compare your choices with energy security indicators which show the demand and supply rate for fuel and electricity by 2050.
