Male professionals hugely dominate tech industry. It’s time to change it! Girls who Code is a great initiative to encourage women and girls to polish their skills in computing science. Additionally, the program is also very welcoming to participants who self-identify as a woman and gender-fluid and transgender students. As a result of this premise, the program nicely represents Sustainable Development Goal no 5:
Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
The program gives girls and women opportunity to learn and use computing science to shape not only their future but by creating new ideas, apps and games, to model the future of the whole generations.
