Author: Darcy Hitchcock

Darcy Hitchcock started her career as an instructional designer, building packaged training programs for businesses. She was assigned some tough audiences like line foremen and sales people who typically assume training is a waste of time. Darcy quickly learned how helpful games and simulations could be to get her audience to pay attention and learn. In 1990, she started her own consulting firm, AXIS Performance Advisors, which evolved into helping organizations implement sustainable business practices. She and her partner published over 10 books and countless articles. Now Darcy is mostly retired but still very much involved in sustainability and education. She formed the Sustainability Alliance (www.SustainabilityAllianceAZ.org), a coalition of local non-profits with three programs focused on education, business and the community. They put on an annual Sustainability in Schools Symposium for teachers and administrators in Arizona.
